ACCOMPLISHMENTS

⦁ Established C&I power sales office for large Texas based Retail Electric Provider.
⦁ Directed implementation of State Power Program. Procured and marketed 1000 MWs of power to State of Texas accounts. (Public Retail Customers)
⦁ Consulted on marketing strategy for PSEG’s 3000 Mw generation development in ERCOT.
⦁ Developed fuel strategy for international power projects. South and Central America.
⦁ Managed marketing, trading and supply of natural gas to industrials, commercials, municipalities, and managed all back-office support functions. Doubled sales volume. Renegotiated transportation agreements for $1 million enhancements. Bid, closed and managed the State of California account.
⦁ Repaired relationships and re-established natural gas marketing firm in Western U.S increasing market share 600% to 200,000 MCFD with no additional personnel.
⦁ Reduced troubled investor-owned utility’s fuel cost from the second highest in the state of Texas to the lowest within eight months of employment.

Senior Account Executive
Opened South Texas regional office; large C & I sales – expanded to fifteen employees.
Captured approximately thirty five percent market share in first year.
Exceeded goals by as much as 200%.
Negotiated full suite of products: capacity/energy, fixed price, demand response, restructures, and index based products. Also marketed non-commodity products – EMS, distributed generation, solar, other.

TEXAS GENERAL LAND OFFICE, Austin, Texas 1999 – 2002
Director of State Power Program
Engaged regulatory rulemaking and legislation enabling Texas GLO to develop and implement State of Texas Power Program interfacing with ERCOT, Public Utility Commission and other stakeholders as needed.
Negotiated capacity, energy, ancillary service, and meter and billing contracts with Electricity Providers for up to 1000 Mw of power. Developed and marketed Retail Sales Agreements with Public Retail Customers (state agencies, school districts, prisons, hospitals, municipalities and other political subdivisions) providing full electric service requirements; approximately five thousand commercial meters.

Marketing Manager
Responsible for natural gas marketing to the Western U. S., as well as power marketing in Texas, including municipalities, co-ops, utilities, industrials. Member of Engineering Subcommittee and representative to ERCOT Transmission Operating Subcommittee, Technical Advisory Committee and Energy Types Task Force. Promoted market restructuring/deregulation through Public Utility Commission and Legislative hearings

Developed fuel strategies for power generation projects including natural gas, fuel oil and coal. Interfaced with federal and state entities, state-owned and privately held entities, banking institutions and legal advisors. International experience includes Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Honduras and Taiwan.

NORTH CANADIAN MARKETING CORPORATION, Orange, California 1991-1993
General Manager
Implemented marketing strategy for natural gas sales to private commercial and industrial entities, utilities and public entities. Profitably doubled trading volumes within six months. Bid/won/served the coveted State of California account – publicly owned hospitals, prisons schools, office buildings, etc. Managed accounting, contract administration, and gas control functions.
